Descentant: Chronicles of the Ipswich Witch by Miranda Bachman

Chronicles of the Ipswich Witch
This was a very different take on vampires.  Placing them as a type of fallen angels created by God to punish or cause some wicked people to be forced to meet their maker and be judged ahead of their natural time.  A witch from the 1700's who has become very powerful by helping demons pass over into our world has also learned to body swap keeping herself alive.  Unable to swap and steal the body of a vampire she has come up with a plan to get her own immortal body.  It has taken hundreds of years but she is now on the brink of getting everything she has worked for.

This was a good book, quick read.  Vampires have a different history in this book then I have ever read before, but I found it to be interesting.
