The Gardener S. A. Bodeen

The Gardener
I saw something about this book online maybe on the library sight.  This is a young adult book and it was a conspiracy type book.  All about a little town that is owned by the big corporation that has set up a garden in their back yard.  Just like the cover says they are growing humans.  This was a thinker, after all scientists could very easily attempt to do just this if they haven't already (insert scary music here).  I did really enjoy this book.

End of year

So I haven't posted in awhile and think to catch up I will just add a picture the name and author.  Oh and whether I liked it or not I was told that is important:)

Ivy League Crypt by Christine Frost this is an ebook it was short but I really liked it.  I do love vampire stories.

Ivy League Crypt

Gap Creek by Robert Morgan this was also a book on my nook.  It was a longer then the first but good also.  The description that came up with the book was that it is a story about a marriage.  And it was.

Gap Creek

Before I Go to Sleep by S.J. Watson.  I really liked this book I have recommended to a couple of people since.  The main character has no short term memory and starts keeping a journal so that she can read it everyday and find out what is going on in her life.  She wants to trust her husband but finds Don't trust you husband written in the front of her book and doesn't know what to think.  I couldn't put this one down and it kind of makes you think.

Before I Go to Sleep

Texas Gothic by Rosemary Clement-Moore.  This was a young adults book about a girl who comes from a family of magic and is trying to pretend that it doesn't exist.  I really enjoyed this book also.

Texas Gothic

One more thing most of the books that I post will be books I at least enjoyed enough to read.  If I am not into them by about the second or third chapter I don't usually finish them.  I know that I could be missing out on some good books here and there but there are just to many books out there and not enough time to waste on the ones I don't really care for.  Well that's how I feel anyway.  Happy reading.

These Things Hidden - Heather Gudenkauf

These Things Hidden
Allison Glenn is a small towns golden girl in high school until she commits an unspeakable crime and is sent away to prison.  Her parents try to deny her existence and her younger sister Brynn also wants nothing to do with her.

Five years later and Allison has been released to a halfway house and would like to try and rebuild her relationships with her family.  Her biggest concern is her sister who never seems to have gotten over what happened.  What secrets will come out during the healing process?

I am not sure what I thought this book was about it didn't turn out to be what I thought.  I really enjoyed it though I couldn't put it down.

In the Woods - Tana French

In the Woods
In the summer of 1984 three children didn't come home from playing in the woods when called by their mothers.  After a search the police find only one of them clinging to a tree with blood filled shoes.  The mystery is never solved.

Twenty years later the boy who came home is now a murder detective in Dublin and gets sent to investigate a missing girl who lives near the same woods.  Not sure if the two could be related or even if he can hold off his own demons long enough to solve the crime Ryan heads out with his partner to try and uncover the truth.

This was a great book.  I will definately be reading more by this author.

Gravity Buster - Frank Asch

Gravity Buster: Journal #2 of a Cardboard Genius
This is journal number 2 in the cardboard genius series.  And Alex did not dissapoint.  He has rebuilt his cardboard spaceship that was destroyed during a pillow fight with his evil little brother.  Now he is taking a swing at gravity.

Jacob and I loved this book very imaginative and a lot of fun to read.
